🎨 Why Australian Animals?

Australian wildlife occupies a unique position in children’s room design — it offers the same warmth and familiarity of woodland animal motifs (kangaroos and koalas are among the most universally recognised animals in early childhood imagery) while providing genuine geographical and cultural specificity that generic forest-animal sets cannot. 🏠 Three Layouts That Work

For a nursery feature wall above the crib, centre the large 21″ × 45″ animals-and-moon panel on the wall so the base sits approximately 48–54 inches from the floor — above the crib headboard at standing adult eye level. Place the kookaburra 6–8 inches above and to the right of the moon. Then scatter the 23 large stars (4″) in a loose arc around the panel, the 30 medium stars (2.9″) extending outward across the upper wall, and the 47 small stars (2.1″) filling the far corners and approaching the ceiling line. This creates a genuine constellation effect that radiates from the central animal scene.

For a ceiling star installation, use all 100 stars on the ceiling above the crib — positioning the largest 4″ stars closest to the central light fitting and decreasing to the 2.1″ stars toward the ceiling corners. The animals-and-moon panel goes on the wall above the crib as normal, and the stars on the ceiling create a continuous night sky that wraps from wall to ceiling. The fabric version is strongly recommended for ceiling application as it repositions easily during installation.

For a split-wall arrangement in a shared room, divide the set between two walls of a shared nursery or twin bedroom: the animals-and-moon panel and kookaburra on one wall above one bed, and all 100 stars distributed across both walls in a flowing arc that connects the two sides.
